“There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving”

These words always prove true! I had the privilege to honor these two young men, my nephew on the left and former coworker on the right this evening. I wanted to express my feelings of pride in the way they comport themselves as young men, in particular as young black men! Living, breathing examples of what intelligence, dignity and determination looks like! Media would have you believe they don’t exist, but indeed they do!!

It makes my heart happy to see them realize how they’re valued!

Truly a blessing and some of the best medicine there is, to think of and do for others!
